Kingston Lacy CL in Dorset

We are booked at Kingston Lacy CL next week but somthing has arisen that means we will not be able to depart until late afternoon. I have tried to spaek to someone in the National trust at Kingston lacy but the CL booking line is only open Wed-Fri and then only for limited hours. It is not possible to leave a message nor will emails be answered outside of the limited hours.

My questions are:

1. Is the B3082 Blandford to Wimborne road suitable for vans at night.
2. Would a better approach be to travel from Blandford down the A350 and then east along the A31.
3. Are the CL directions on the CC website accurate?
4. Given the gate entry code is it a site suitable to pitching up in the dark, ie access widths, ground conditions, manouevring with other vans pitched up?

Any help would be appreciated

We live only a few miles from Kingston Lacy.
The road from Blandford to wimborne is fine, no problems day or night, just take the road signed Wimborne out of Blandford.
Kingston Lacy is on the right hand side before you get to Wimborne and is well signposted, it has a huge entrance so no issue there.
I am not sure where they have sited the new CL within the grounds.
Hope this helps
Andrew

Just looked in the book and Googled the directions and the last half mile or so is down a narrow road/lane which is unclassified. Apparently you access the CL from this lane which is at the rear of the grounds and not through the main entrance off the B3082

Using Streetmap you can see the electronic gate and farm opposite. The lane was a bit muddy when the Google van went there. It's not much wider than a caravan either

I was surprised to see it's open all the year.

Thanks for the replies I have now spotted the site on Google. It is £12 per night. The office is only manned wed-fri and then only limited hours and the answerphone is not set up to take messages. We have cancelled by email as it now looks as if we will not arrive until after dark so did not fancy the narrow lanes and pitching up in the dark.
