Does anybody have any experience with these (or similar bits of kit).

Do they work?

How heavy are they?

Where do you store them whilst on the move?

Do you also need to use axle stands?

What are the best all-round option?

Thanks

I have the Kojack original scissor type

They are not intended to support the van after levelling

You are supposed to put wedges etc under the tyres which means that you have to guess how much out of level you need to go before lowering and suspension settlement

Really the spirit levels are of little use as you can't see them without lying on the ground and its much easier to place a spirit level inside the van door and then pull the van up alevel ramp with the car or mover

The jack however is much easier to use than the Alko

It does weigh more than the Alko but I found that it works as well on the Nissan XT so I only carry the Kojack and it fits the jack space in the car after removing some polystyrene

Hi Chris

Have been using the kojak on my twin axle for the past few months. I use it to level the van and also to fit the alko secure wheel locks. It does make jacking the van a real doddle.

I use the kojak to raise the van and then place the levelling ramps under each wheel and then fit the 2 wheel locks. I do not use axle stands.

It comes in a neat hard plastic case and it can easily be stored in the car boot.

It is quite heavy but not as heavy as a trolley jack - I note that they are now doing a lite version.

Overall a quality piece of kit and well worth the money

Andy
