"L" shape lounges

HI, I AM HOPING TO UPGRADE MY SWIFT CHALLENGER 490/SE SOON,I AM LOOKING TO SEE IF YOU CAN GIVE ME A GUIDE AS WHICH MAKERS PRODUCE A 4 BERTH TOURER WITH A "L" SHAPE LOUNGE I DONT SYAY NEAR ANY DEALERS SO I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHAT IS AVAILABLE. THANKS ALAN

Almost all the manufacturers do L shaped lounges, have a look at the various web sites for Caravans, they nearly always show the layouts of each Van.

Hi Alan,

I thought of an L shaped lounge when i bought van,( Swift Charisma 560), but was put off after being told the bed is a pain in the neck to assemble, and that it would be harder to sell on after as they weren't as popular,

Gavin.

Alan, we bought a 2006 Swift Charisma 565 new last year which has an L shaped lounge. Love it! more room in the front and you don't feel on top of each other when sitting down. I feel with the parallel seating there is little room and your sitting directly opposite each other. There is also a little more floor area for our daughter to play on. The bed in an L shaped lounge is no more of a pain to put up with than parallel seating, although we had a problem with the cushions moving until we fixed the back of them with velcro. I have been told however by my local dealer that caravans with L shaped lounges are no longer that popular with new caravans manufactures. I don't know why??

We have had both L shaped and bench type seating. We are getting our third caravan and getting a four beth L shape - by far our prefered layout.
