We stayed there once, years ago, but it was so long ago I wouldn't want to give a review.
However, it's an ACSI Card site, and if you'd gone before the 30th June would have cost just 15 euros a night for pitch, two adults, car and caravan, awning, and electricity! The children would have been 3 euros each (under 13) or 4.50 euros (over 13). A Norfolk Lines ferry would have cost you around £110.
If you can travel flexibly, and outside peak season (mid-July to mid-August) it's always worth asking on these forums first if someone knows a 'cheap deal'.
It's a nice quiet area, often missed out by people who are just intent on heading south as quickly as they can.

It's a nice site, we've used it a few times usually at the start or the end of a trip to France but it's worth a longer stay. There is a pleasant pool complex that my kids like, a shop, and a restaurant. The site can feel a bit transitory as it's used a lot by people making their way to and from Ferries and the Tunnel, but I think that longer stays are probably pitched on quieter parts of the site. We tend to use Chateau du Gandspette more nowadays when we need a site within reach of the short crossing channel ports, but both sites are fine.

We tend to use Gandspette nowadays as well, but we used to stay at Bien Assise on our way home every year because we quite liked the restaurant for a meal on our last night. However, I remember getting really frustrated with the fresh water taps which were not only painfully slow and lacking in pressure, but were also of the horrible press-button variety which means you have to stand there holding the button down for what seems like hours. Never over-impressed with the toilet block either which didn't really live up to the 4 star billing. Perhaps it's better now. We also liked Guines which has a Champion with good diesel prices and also a Lidl and Aldi for cheap wine.

We always use this site for first and last nights on our annaul holidays to the south of France or to Italy. Easy access from Calais and good pitches. Agree about poor tollet blocks. Restaurant is a real treat for first night of the holiday.

We enjoyed two nights here a fortnight ago. The site enjoys very large pitches and the general facilities are good. Quiet pitches are available at a distance from the facilities. Touring cheques accepted @ £12.95 - a bargain - cheaper than municipals in the Calais/Boulogne area. A real treasure
