La Ribeyre (France) - Worth a visit?

We are thinking of going to this sight next Aug. Looking for a reasonably peaceful site but with things to do for the children (ages 8 & 4).

Wondered if anyone has stayed there recently and has any comments (good or bad) about the site and/or local area.

Thanks

Jerry

It's a Sunelia site - so it will be very professionally run with good facilities. Haven't actually been to the site, but have stayed at other Sunelia run sites, which have been excellent. Have been to the Auvergne which is lovely. You'll find many less Brits, and indeed visitors of any nationality, than in many areas of France, and the scenery, wildlife, and hospitality is great. Do go to see the volcanoes - you're in the middle of a volcanic area - but wrap up well, at the top of the Puy du Dome even in summer it can be very cold indeed
