Thinking of changing our recliners, current ones are more 'garden type' look comfortable but after a while are not.

Anyone with comments on Lafuma?

Problem is of course most of these things feel ok to sit in for a few seconds in the shop but once bought its too late if they do not suit. (like buying a new bed) Do not want to rush into the Lafuma route as they are very expensive. (unless anyone knows of any good deals around at the moment)

Comfort is a personal thing but we both find our Lafuma padded recliners that we have had for something like 10 years exceptionally comfortable.

I am often falling to sleep in them, but I can sleep in aircraft!

Also when the good lady put her back out we moved one of the recliners into the lounge at home as it was by far the easiest "chair" on her back at that time.

Yes they are dreadfully heavy but not quite as bad today as the earlier ones are.

Had our Lafuma recliners now for about 4 years and find them very comfortable. Expensive, yes, but comfy.

I have read others posts about a chair called something like " dudkelf" or similar, I've seen them in local accessories shop but have no experience of them but apparently they are cheaper than Lafuma and reported to be comfortable.

I bought our Lafumas from Towsure's shop at a Caravan Show where they had them on special offer.

Hi William,

We bought two Lafuma RSX recliners about 4 years ago, following a major spinal operation. We got them because I cannot risk an everyday garden lounger suddenly jolting back, if the arms are not pushed down properly, as can happen.

We are very pleased with them and use them whenever we go caravanning. The arm rests have locks which flip to hold the recliner in whichever position you select, which for me, makes them especially secure, with no danger of suddenly falling back. They also come with a separate padded headrest, which easily removes.

With summer coming, I would think there will be deals coming up before too long, especially if you buy two.

My wife got one about 3 years ago and after two trips its left at home not being used at all. Reason whilst it is comfy for her the weight is just to much so carry lightweight ally chairs.

We looked at Lafumas but ended up with Kampa Indulgences instead as OH found them comfier. We got a really good deal at end of last season - 2 for 1 - but don't know if they are still available at that price.

Got two RSX from Riversway last year (offer on 2) and absolutely love them. We also have the lafluma high backed lightweight aluminium mesh chairs which are ideal for sitting at the table and also recline, the RSX are two low for that.

Having tried many various different 'camping/caravan' chairs I decided to go and purchase a Lafuma. Husband on the other hand decided he would stick with the lighter aluminium style. On our next outing he lasted 2 days before deciding I was right and he went and bought himself a 'L'. All our other chairs have now been relegated to the garden shed for use by visitors attending the odd BBQ. You won't regret spending the extra money for the comfort they afford.

William,

We have a pair of RSX Recliners and have found them incredibly comfortable for relaxing in. I fell asleep in mine in the garden last week. The only negatives I have is that I find them uncomfortable to use whilst eating at a table outdoors and they are a bit on the heavy side (if tow weight is an issue) I managed to get a pair of Lafuma Cham Elips in the Riversway Leisure sale earlier in the year. They are very lightweight and far more comfortable to sit in whilst eating at an outdoor table.

Cheers.

William, we bought our Lafuma chairs 10 years ago, they were quite modern at the time and lots of people kept asking us where we'd got them. We have since over recent years bought four more, plus two lightweight aluminium ones as the Lafuma's are heavy when touring around fully loaded. The two original chairs needed new strings which support the seating area and thread through the sides of the chair frame, this was easy to do and a set of new elastic strings cost approx
