Lake Como

I will be going to Italy by Motorcycle in early June and I am looking to break my journey around Como.

Can anyone suggest a good site to stopover for 1 night?

stop? or will this be your second or third stop.

It will proberbly be our second stop, when touring abroad on the bike I prefer to use to Route nationals rather than Motorways (no nice twisty bits on motorways)so we usually limit the mileage to about 250 to 300 miles a day. Nice stop for lunch about 1.00ish and then Camp up of Hotel for 5.00pm gives time to see the sites.

Campeggio Ranocchio, Piano di Porlezza, swiss side of Lake Como, it is a Camping Cheque site. It has a fairly good restuarant. Swim in Lake Piano or pool (if open)

Well the time has come , off to catch the Hull Rotterdam ferry in about 1 hour. Italy hear I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
