Hi Jason, we go away for 2 weeks every christmas, went to the lakes last year, lots to do and see, we stayed at a small CL near penrith (millhouse)

would recommend it to anyone!

PS, if you are thinking of going away, get booked in now, as sites are very busy over christmas and new year (believe it or not)

Hi Jason, the CC have two sites open over Christmas. Meathop Fell and Troutbeck Head. You may stuggle to get a pitch this late in the year.

We have been to Stanwix Park but not at christmas or new year.we enjoyed our stay.The shower block is nice and clean but the pitches can get boggy if wet.
