Hello caravaners
I am looking to go to lake Garda this summer and would appreciate any advice on sites worth considering to stay at.Would like access to a beach and not to big and loud. Is there any water parks or theme parks in the area.
Many thanks in advance for any replies.

No direct experience with a caravan but when I was working in the area a few years ago I had a look at some of the campsites. The main impression was the very small size of the pitches and the subsequent closeness of adjacent outfits - certininly very much closer than our own dear Caravan Club would allow.
Various posting on this forum over the years have also commented on this as being geneeral in Italy, and if you look at some of the site websites you can often actually see it. One site in particular I recall the pitching area seemed to be at about the spacing of our storage areas.
However, others will doubtless have current information, and I shall watch the repleis with interest, as it would be nice to go back to the area again, but with a 7.5m caravan don't want to be able to shake hands with the neighbours through the windows.

www.camping.it.. is a good web site .. beaches and also not a niosy/big site, that rules out bella Italia just outside peschera del garda.
Lazise near the bottom on the right side of the lake [east] has some smaller sites and is also near to gardaland a big theme park and indeed a aqu Park and theme studios are also near by. we have stayed at .piano di clodia easy walk into walled town of Lazise which you can walk to on a private path near the beach. we had a mobile home and indeed caravan pitches are indeed tight...;Lazise gives you pretty good ascess,to most pionts on the lake either by boat or car, bare in mind the further north you go on that side of the lake the busier the traffic gets and the further away from good main roads too.....
