Lakeside Park

We have just returned from Lakeside Park ( North Sommercotes ) near Mablethorpe, having spent our first full week away in van since venturing into the van world !

Have to say a superb site, all round cleanliness of showers and toilets excellent, and great dog walk also around the site. Good ammenities and shop, slightly pricey for indoor pool usage £3.00 per child but very good. Majority hard standing fully serviced pitches, although we have no other sites to compare to yet ! This will be our bench mark and if they are all this sort of standard we look to many great years of vanning !

Hi Nigel , we are old hands at vanning and have been to most places ,we use Lakeside when we take the small grandchildrenaway for weekends as it is only 27 mls from home , yes it is a great site and virtually all pitches are well spaced super pitches ,the site shop, club( if you have small children they will all like Auntie Lisa) ,pub,amusementsand swimming pool are second to non , you will however find that the showers are probabley the only thing that you will find they could improve on ,

We thought it a good site too, I am guessing then there are some around not as good ? Using this as a bench mark I feel we may get some dissapointments from some sites in the years to come !
