Can anyone help with the correct name of the laptop TV widget that fits into the USB port, & with the aerial connected enables tv to be viewed on the laptop?

Info on purchase places would be appreciated too.

If you Google "USB TV tuner", then you'll get loads of hits. There are lots of these about and all the big names sell them (Amazon, etc) You can get them for digital TV only or a combi unit which will also give you analogue TV. I've got a Terratec hybrid USB XS which is excellent. They all come with a tiny aerial which is next to useless. You really need to plug them into a conventional aerial for decent results. They all have adaptors to allow you to do this.

I have one of these, but I disagree with John. I get better reception with the tiny included aerial than with the Status aerial on the caravan (useless junk). However I have found that for some reason the majority of caravan sites I have visited are in areas with no digital free view reception, so make sure you get one (which are more expensive) that pick up the old style analogue channels as well.

I give up on this and bought a 12V tv as while the laptop screen is fine for computing, only one person close up can watch it for tv due to the narrow viewing angles compared with a TV (eve LCD tvs).

I got better reception with an old coat hanger than with the Status 315. The tiny aerials supplied with the USB tuners may well be better than Status, but for most places they are useless, so I stand by my advice.
