Hi

Can someone tell me how many watts the above tv might be. I've looked in the manual and all it says is it's supplied with a 3amp plug.

Thanks.

Morning Lisa,

LCD televisoins - it will depend on the size, you would need to check the particuar model, but you could assume 35 to 50 Watts (3 to 4.5Amps @ 12vdc which would be 0.15 to .025A @2320Vac) The may be an initial power surge but that should n't be a problem.

The fuse rating is probably teh lowest common 230V ac fuse available for the 13A mains plug.

Hi John

Thanks for your reply. I was just trying to work out everything, halogen heater, 1 or 2kw heater, tv, portable fridge, three lamps etc.

Looks like it should be ok.

Lisa.

My Toshiba 15inch LCD is rated at 12 volt 5amp (60 watt) max. So via the mains transformer it takes 0.25 amps. It is possible to obtain 1amp, 2amp, 3amp, 5amp and 13amp fuses for U.K. plugs. I have a selection of them and fit according to need.
