Hi Ken, Have stayed on this site in both June and September several times over the last nine years. At that time of year it is very quiet and very pleasant. The site is run by the lady owner who is very helpful and knows the area very well. Off season there is a small shop which stocks minimal number of items. Fresh bread and croissants can be ordered daily and they are some of the best I have tasted to date!! The site has a mix of 5 and 10 amp pitches. Small but pleasant swimming pool and various other on site activities. Apparently in season other activities are organised.

There is a nice restaurant just outside the site with more in the local village. A Leclerc supermarket is on the outskirts of Chatellrault easily reached via back roads; ask Madame in the site for directions. Chatellrault is a very nice place to visit and you should try to see the flying displays by "eagles" in nearby Chauvigny. Poitiers and Futuroscope are also within easy reach, as are some of the Loire chateaux. You may also like to visit the medieval town of Loches.

I hope this helps, but bear in mind that the information is given from the point of view of adult only and also out of season.

Ian
