Leeds Caravan & Motorhome Show

I was planning to visit the above show at Temple Newsam and logged on to www.appletree-exhibitions.co.uk to get some info.

According to the website, the show has been cancelled. I wondered if anyone can confirm this and the reasons why?

As "Practical Caravan" are listed as one of the sponsors, maybe someone from the magazine may want to comment?

We were going to go to the Essex show at Chelmesford at the weekend, that was also cancelled.

Dear All,

Sadly, I can confirm that the Essex and Leeds shows have been shelved, although the Romsey, Kent and Bristol shows are still going ahead.

I don't know the precise details of why this has happened, but I will try and get you an answer tomorrow.

According to a friend of mine who had booked and was sent a refund, the reason given for the cancellation was that not enough exhibitors had signed up. Seems a bit late to be trotting out this excuse, however.
