Leisure battery

Have just upgraded from a european van(no battery) to a Ace Jubilee Vicroy. Any idea's on how long a battery will last on a site without a mains hook up facility. Also been looking at solar panels but some of the tech jargon hasn't quite sunk in. also been looking at wind turbines. any comments greatly recieved.

How long is a piece of string? It will all depend on the size of the leisure battery you put in the van and what equipment you run off it. To give you some idea I have a 110amp hour battery which will run our vans electrics for a week, BUT we have no television although it is a modern van with lots of lights, electric flush etc.stc. You can add up the current requirements of each piece of equipment and the time it is likely to be used, divide that into the capacity of the battery, and it will give you some idea of how long it will last.
