Can anyone help me, i am stopping on a fully serviced pitch at the end of may for the first time and i need to know roughly what length of grey waste pipe that i will need, same goes i suppose for the feed to the aqua roll from the tap. I appreciate that each site will be different, but any help is greatly appreciated.

The same would apply to the length of the van and positioning of the inlet/outlet pipes to/from the van - side or rear fixings. In order to help on this I think you need to be more specific on your van or alternatively buy 5 metres of both pipes which should cover all eventuallities.

Hi Lee

For the length from the tap to the aquaroll we bought a standard length complete with adaptors at each end, one will fit on the valve in the side of the aquaroll the other should fit the tap.Although over the years we have accumulated a collection of different tap fittings as taps will vary.

For the waste pipe we bought a length of domestic waste pipe and several connectors, cut the pipe into various lengths and use conectors to make pipe to fit from van outlet to drain, being rigid the pipe drains easier. You will then be able to make a pipe to fit any superpitch you may use.

We usually have a serviced pitch ( not usually the same pitch ) on a site in France each year and almost every year it's different. It depends in which corner of the pitch the connection is and which way around the van is located.

The first year I had a 5 metre length of flexible pipe but that wasn't long enough so a trip to Mr Briccolage got me a 3 metre length of rigid waste pipe for a couple of Francs and some duct tape solved the problem.

I now carry the 5 metre length and a 7 metre length plus a connector and use the length that best suits the situation and on occasions I have joined the two together. A single 10 - 12 metre length would be to long for most of the locations and coiled up lengths just hold the waste water in the tube. The pipe is extremely light and fits in the front locker behind the gas bottles when not required.

It varies. We went to a CL with fully serviced pitches. Once the van was in position the owner brought several different lengths of large/smooth bore pipe, one of which was the right length to reach the drain point.

Recently stopped at the C&CC site at Chertsey and needed over 3.5 mtrs to reach the drain. I have made a white plastic twin y piece and carry a couple of different lengths of the 1.25" piping and if needed will cut to size.
