Lesuire battery can it be left connected to charger

Hello all i have the electric hook up connected whilst van is on drive which means that the charger is always on,my question is does it damage the battery. Checked voltage today and had a reading of 14volts mark
 
Hi paddy, mine is also on the drive and is always plugged in as well as I neeed the battery tip top for the mover, Ive had it like this for over 4 years now and the battery seems fine.

Someone will no doubt correct me if it does damage the battery

If the charger only charges at 13.7 or there abouts, you should be ok.

Above this the battery will start to give off gases, and eventually the electrolite level will drop below min level.

The down side off charging at 13.7 means the battery is never fully charged.
