Re the post above from Les.

Lord Braykewynde is an anagram of LADY WENDY BROKER. This raises a couple of questions for LB:

1. Are you called Wendy at weekends? Just a straight "yes" or "no" please.

2. Broker ... interesting ... are you related to the long-absent insurance agent (your old mate) Clive V?

3. Is the "hot air" nic just for cover?

Do I get the impression from many of the recent posts that basically the majority of us are all peace loving caravanners at heart.? The problem is that our media is more interested in stirring the 'pot' because a good headline sells papers, and they make money. Sometimes truth is a poor second, but we can all believe the particular 'rag' we purport to buy. This tends to enable some of us to use the 'argument' to raise questions on the Forum, often knowing full well that someone will respond in an expected, or hoped for manner.

I don't feel that excluding that type of post is necessarily beneficial because it will stilt debate, and sometimes we all learn something we did not originally know.

I think that we will have to accept that in order to have a free and accessible Forum we must allow 'debates' and allow the Moderators the right to call 'time' when they think it has gone beyond the line of reason. I think we all should accept that this will happen time and time again and I argue that this is not necessarily a bad thing.

I also think that subscribers to this Forum, or any other, should be fully aware of what they are entering as adults, and have to accept that sometimes they will be 'shouted down' That doesn't mean to say that the 'insults' are by any means personal, after all in a debate things can get very heated.

So, conclusion. If you wish to participate in this Forum be prepared to be insulted (verbally) at least once, and endeavour to be able to answer back. It is only a mirror of normal life, so what is the difference.

At the end of the day it is only a computer.
