using nearly all my weight allowance !!!!!!!!!!!!
We don't actually carry any personal items at all in the car. Its all in the caravan. Clothes hung in the wardrobe and light stuff in the lockers. Heavy towels are usually carried on the floor. Dirty clothes are put in a pillow case each day which then gets carried on the floor or in the car to come home.Hi Mick
probably have room in the boot but would then have to put our luggage in the van and its a lot of luggage with three kids, hubby suggested same as you but I didnt fancy my knickers spread all over the motorway should the van ever decide to topple !!!!!!!!(ALBIET VERY NICE KNICKERS!!!!)have a limit on my car aswell I suppose and I regulary have six in it,my vans only 1300kg limit and would like to take bikes etc....thanks for your help am still looking..
A slight note of caution here: Check your cars handbook for any limit on the weight of luggage. Don't forget that the noseweight of the van counts as part of the allowance,as it contributes to the load on the cars suspension. My awning with glassfibre poles is about 40Kg and with noseweights around the 50-60kg mark, I doubt you'll have much left...Have you got room in your car Tina? I always carry the awning and poles in the boot. This is also easier when you arrive on site if it's wet or windy. You can get inside the caravan without any problems. The awning can wait then until the weather improves.
I'd suggest that you contact an Isabella dealer to find the price. There are several ads in most caravan magazines.
bl**dy h**ll how big do you think my knickers are???????????????????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tina, could you not save some weight by going commando? and therefore not have to buy any new poles?
Fair point Chris. Fortunately my Terrano has a payload of 740kg, so no problems, even with 4 of us on board.A slight note of caution here: Check your cars handbook for any limit on the weight of luggage.
