I have just changed to a new lightweight awning and on the first occasion i used it i found great difficulty inserting the pins in the ends of the fiberglass poles.
even after putting great pressure on bending the poles the pins barely reached enough to insert them even with the adjuster straps fully extended.
i suffer from arthritis in my hands which makes it more difficult so can anyone suggest something to help

regards

Hi David
I know what you mean, the pins can be fiddly and difficult to insert into the metal sleeve at the bottom of the pole.
You could try disengaging the bottom section of the pole so that it bends and shortens enough for you to pop the pin into the bottom. It would be easier to reconnect the pole with the pin innserted than to struggle with these small pins when you have arthititic fingers.
