Just had our 1998 bailey pageant imperial van serviced and during the damp checks carried out a high reading of 20 was recorded on the bottom side of our kitchen window both sises and top recorded 8 as did all the other survaces checked. Since we purchased tyhe van we have always used a portable clothes drier that clips over the bottom window seal.
Checked all the area around the base of the window everything is bone dry, It would appear that the weight of the towels drying in the wind has caused the outer rubber seal to become misshaped which is not allowing the window when closed to seal properly, this allowing the cold air to enter the van at the bottom giving this reading.
We are going to have the window removed and complete new rubber seals fitted when the weather gets a bit warmer .
Has anybody else experenced this , using the that type of clothes dryer, just been out and purchased the flat free standing type for £10.
