Lithium Ion Leisure Batteries

I was reading an article about these. Yes, I’ll have one next time my current one fails. But at £800 :woohoo: Why so expensive?
Is anyone using an Li and does it truly have advantages over the standard leisure battery

It’s so pricey because it will allow you to do away with the towcar and drive to your site in the caravan.

Bit of a hit if some scroat steals it too.

For that price... probably not (Not yet anyway). But Li-Ion batteries are more energy dense, much better at retaining their charge and would be less susceptible to damage if it were discharged too far unlike a deep-cycle Lead Acid leisure battery.

An interesting point. With a battery costing that much, 4WD movers costing over £2k, fridges over £1k plus all the internal fittings and chassis parts, the scrotes have less need to risk selling a van whole, just the parts. Its high time makers supplied some decent anti theft kit instead on focussing on new curtains and stripes each year..
