just been to blackpool south cc park at weekend, its a lovely clean site, so please tell me why some caravanners who were at blackpool had to leave empty beer cans on their pitch when you pass the bins on the way out.

Martin, yes I agree with your dilema, seen it many times myself.

My grumble last summer was that we were allocted a pitch next to a dustbin which was emptied each evening, this bin was a standard size and served probably ten pitches. This bin was full by 8pm and fellow caravnners left boxes, carrier bags etc full of refuse on the ground alongside it. Not everyone was as careful in tying up the bags and rubbish just fell out. I complained to the site owner who made some excuse about not having time to empty it more than once daily, when does health and hygiene kick in here? needless to say we are not going back there again.

The answer for the site owner was put 2 bins out or even 3 .Its not rocket science ,but as a result of his lack of thought he has lost 2 customers ,and looked a prat as well

Every time I leave a pitch I always pull off the pitch then stop to have a look and make sure the pitch is left as I found it. There's no excuse for leaving rubbish behind.

As one who looks after a CL I am pleased to say we have very little problem re litter, our visitors are very considerate in the way they leave the site, what does supprise me is the amount we get in our bins. we have to have a very large wheely bin to hold a weeks supply and it costs
