loch lomond

Hi, got a chance of a holiday in scotland, looking to hire a static caravan or lodge and got to be fairly near loch lomond, helensburgh etc within 15-20 miles, anyone been to inverbeg holiday park? or loch lomond holiday park in inveruglas? or other suggestions welcome. thanks in advance 🙂 jacqui.

I don't know if this is any help to you but I was sorry to see that you had not had any supplies
A few years back a mega car breakdown (failed auto gearbox) enroute for NW Scotland left us stranded for over a week at Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond.
The local breakdown man towed our caravan to Lomond woods Caravan Park which was a pleasant site within walking distance of the Loch and close to the town's amenities - good for car-less us. We stayed on the site for just over a week whilst our car was repaired and enjoyed our stay there.
Lomond Woods figures in the Alan Rogers' Campsite guide so it must be of a good standard. I remembered that during our stay they had some statics caravans and I've just googled and found that still hire out static caravans and lodges so it might be of use to you

After I had posted I thought of this site which may be of use. It lists, with impartial reviews, a number of sites near Loch Lomond some of which have "caravan holiday homes". Loch Lomond Woods is reviewed on this site, too.
