On another point, and not I am not at all trying to be sexist in the slightest way, why is it that far more female drivers than male drivers drivers seem very reluctant to put on headlights when visibility is poor because of rain, snow or fog or it is getting dark or not yet fully light ? Some put on side lights, (which, correctly are parking lights only), and they assume that that is good enough to be seen but many don't bother with any lights at all. I've seen so many that I now make a point of looking to see the gender of the idiot driver.

My good lady started driving as a kid, she'd drive anything in any conditions. She has come home with numerous revelations about women colleagues who don't like driving at night because "I never know how to turn the light's on" "I don't know how to do that dipping thing" "my husband does the night driving as I can never find the lights" and many more. Our daughter's both drive and tell similar stories, when one lady friend of my daughter had to drive on a motorway, daughter couldn't uderstand why she didn't switch to main beam. She didn't know how

I wonder what the silly people add to our insurance bills.
