Hi everyone - I guess I'm cheating because I have a timber lodge on a caravan park - that is, for statics, not tourers, but the concept's the same! We started 4 years ago with a Willerby Granada static - never been in a 'van before. Then decided we wanted more room and when Sue and I took early retirement, we looked for a lodge. Couldn't afford the Cosalt-type manufactured ones, so bought a one-off log cabin in Nidderdale. We call ourselves the Beverley Hillbillies, comparing ourselves to the new £150k lodges on the site which are called (you guessed it) Beverley Hills (corny or what!) Anyway, we hope you won't exclude us from the club - many of you have already answered a couple of queries we have (see General category - VAT on rates and Living on a holiday park). The least you could do Michael is fit a pair of wheels to the side of your cabin and pretend. Failing that, you are welcome anyway. Just don't go asking for suitable tow cars....

I have a log cabin as my office at home so wouldn't want to holiday in one (but can see the attractions);-) And when I get fed up I go and sit in the Caravan for a coffee and read.

Keeps the van warm and aired through the winter quiet period and saves me from distractions up at the house.

Hi Cris, well no, it's not like the garden variety. It's 20' x 30', with two double bedrooms, huge lounge/diner, bathroom and kitchen. If I could just work out how to include a photo, I've got a great one of the outside.

Sorry Tina, they don't allow letting on the park, although originally it WAS rented out by the builder/owner and was very popular I hear. If I could fathom out how to include photos on this site, I'd show you.
