Logging in and out

Really? Steve, can I query this? Generally speaking, I only log in if I want to post a message. However, if I come back to the forum later in the day, some time after I've posted, I'm still logged in - the "Welcome back Sue" message (how polite!) is still there at the top. How does that work then?

Apologies for being a pain, Steve ;-) lol!

Soozeeg - I get exactly the same - the only way I can log out is to close internet explorer down. I thought this was peculier to my equipment only.
Colin, I'm sure your equipment is not at all peculiar LOL!!. Hello, by the way ;-)

As I understand it if you leave the website 'open' you would still be logged in but if you close it by clicking on the red / white cross at the top left of your screen you would have to log in next time that you open the website and want to post.

Perhaps if you have tabbed browsing the site remains 'open' on your computer?

anything further than that - I dunno :0)

Oh right, OK, I understand it now (I think!!) - thanks Steve. I'll have to try it and let you know if it works!

Parksy - by clicking on the white cross at the top right hand corner of the screen it will close the internet explorer complete so if you require other programs on the internet one has to click on the internet explorer icon and totally reload.

Hi Sue - I am very well thank you - early retirement is to be recommended. How are you and your family keeping - I trust all is well with you. I heard a little whisper that you had left "very little helps" and now have become a fully paid up housewife. IS THIS TRUE???????

It is indeed true Colin......although 'housewife' is perhaps a little too strong a word (housewifery perhaps not being one of my better-known skills!! LOL). Husband and I are fine thanks, enjoying more time away in the caravan.

If you want to close the PCv website but leave internet explorer on then right click the Practical Caravan logo in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen and the left click on the x close.
