Stayed there three years ago. A nice site, but the grass pitches on the top half of the site are a bit cramped, the lower half with the hard standings is a better bet. The pool is nice but can get crowded at peak times.

Dave, spent two weeks this July at the Merrose Farm CC site at St Mawes. Nice site but many of the grass pitches have other vans all around them, while the hardstandings have the usual space you would expect from a CC site. The St Mawes area is a fantastic location to see most of the attractions around Cornwall.

We were on site at Merrose Farm last september and the only pitches available were on grass and in a very poor state, which was extremely disappointing. However we went and looked at a commercial site very nearby called Trethem Mill.It was family run with beautiful surroundings-Landscaping etc.and the toilet facilities were of an excellent standard. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that their rates compared favourably with the Club Fees. www.trethem.com If we go back, this is where we would choose to stop.St.Mawes is a wonderful area to explore.Went to see Trewethett Farm on the North coast with views out to sea,but reckon if the weather is rough,it could be a little bit hair-raising on the top of the cliffs.

Hi Dave, Stayed at Looe 3 years ago. The site was packed and some of the pitches were cramped. We stayed on Merrose farm last year. We loved it. Good play area for the kids, spacious pitches and plenty to do. This year we went to Trewethett Farm. You won't find a site with better views, but pack your awning strap and bury those pegs!!
