we came away on the 1st September after sapending 10 days there. We were lucky and had good weather. The week before we got there the wardens rang asking if we wanted to canacel because the grass pithces were too wet and there were no hard standings available ?????

When we got there 22nd August we got onto site early and all was well wardens very helpfull and friendly. We got onto hard standing down the botton near to the toilet block. Some hardstandings were marked as "Not in use". oUR NEIGHBOUR HAD BEEN THER FOR TWO WEEKKS AND HAD MANAGED TO MOVE FROM THE GRASS DOWN TO THE HARDSTANINGS AS WAS(oops sorry ) telling us all sorts of tales about a lady breaking her wrist trying to move to a hard standing from a grass pitch in a hurry before any one else realising it was available. Other "mewmebers" being threatened with expulsion from the club for refusing to move off a hard standing that was marked not in use for no apparenmt reason.

That said we had a good week and the grass had drained well and dried. Considering it was the end of the season, almost, i thought the grass was in good condition.

By the time we left there were more empty pitches than those occupied and over half of the hardstandings were vacant. I belive and i may be wrong that the hard standings are some times "reserved" for long units that cannot be accommodated on the grass pithces.

Its due to close for the winter and a full refurb in time for opening in march !

We had a brill time and had no complaints what so ever about the site or the staff. Children loved the pool

Hi Ann & Keith

We were there for the bank holiday week (25th August). We called the site before we went and they told us it was in a sorry state but to be honest it wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be, there were quite a few on grass. We managed to find a hard standing right down the bottom of the site. Did see the 'not in use' signs, as Neil said, on a couple of pitches but not sure what that was about. What I saw of the grass it could have been worse.

We've been there 3 times now and always found the wardens very friendly and the grandaughter loves the outdoor pool. Looe is only a few minutes by car, if you drive over the bridge round to the right and turn right down the hill there's a large car park.

Hope you have a fantastic, 1st caravan, holiday.

Mikey
