Deux Rivieres is fine if somewhat shady , on the river bank and should be able to launch easily. Walkable into town. Don't miss the visitor centres under the centre span of the bridge and at the north end. The time lapse film of the building of the bridge is very worth watching. There is also an excellent viewpoint on the 'old' road going south from the town about a mile or so out. As well as the long view to the bridge you may also get eye level with eagles and other birds.

We stayed at Les Rivages last year on the way back north. Lovely site - well laid out pitches - good shop, bar etc. Direct access to the river for canoeing. You can see the bridge from the river on site. We took the exit before the bridge and headed to the site. Pitched our caravan then went up the other side of the gorge to the visitor centre on the north of the bridge. Very good. We then went over the bridge, took the first exit after the bridge and followed the road to the other visitor centre underneath the bridge. This was something by hubby wanted to do since watching the programes on thew bridge construction. Definitly something not to miss if you are interested. From Les Rivages you can walk into Millau.
