We are looking for a seasonal awning that will be up for 11 months of the year. Isabella is right our of our price range and we are considering the ventura Pacific.

However just to throw a spanner in the works, Dorema offer the Montana Super Lux at a very reasonable price due to discount 2009 models. See http://www.dorema.co.uk/factory-clearance2/opruiming_montanasuperlux.html At that price we can also purchase, the annex, inner tent and storm strap for less than the cost of the Ventura 1050 awning only, but we have no idea whether the Montana is a good seasonal awning or not!

Any one have a Montana?

Hi Ian, we have recently ordered the Dorema Montana Supa Lux from the factory outlet. Like yourself we had a budget to work with.I did as much homework as possible and the reports looked fsvourable enough to make the purchase. Ours is 1050 or size 17 too.Every decision is a GREY AREA but I am sure we will be satisfied overall.

best of luck to us all!!!!!

We have been using an Inaca Mirage 10ft deep full awning with our Abbey 540se freestyle for 18 months of full timing.

Inaca was started by ex Issabella employee's and produces a simlar product at a much more affordable price.

Our awning has the benifit of zip down blackout blinds that also double as sun shades. Being a seasonal awning it is quite heavy but manageable as it is a 5 piece afair.

The only sign of wear is fraying around the sewn in storm straps which are not realy designed to withstand storm force ten conditions, that we endured last feburary. There are two tie down loops per panel to add security to the sides of the awning.

All steel poles are a heavy item. I'm considering using carbon fibre for the roof poles and keeping the front frame steel, to save weight, as we do move around and our car is at full stretch towing the weight. By using an over the frame storm strap and additional straps at the upright joints to tension the roof out as well as add down force to the frame, the rigidity should not be affected.

It pays to shop around, we got a free

Hi Ian,

Why buy new?. Check out the Ebay site, they have had a lot of Isabella awnings for sale lately.

You could save yourself some money and pick up a bargain, seeing as you will be leaving the awning up 11 months, do you need it to be new?

I have just bought an Isabella awning on Ebay for
