Lost external locker keys

I have managed to lose the keys to my front and side lockers on my Abbey Expression.
I'm not too concerned about the front locker as this was easy to open with a screwdriver.

The side lockers are all keyed alike. Does anyone know if it is possible to get replacement keys if the lock has a code number on it?
I am going to try and pop one of them open and take the lock to a locksmith but thought I'd ask advice on here as well.

thanks in advance

A locksmith usually requires a pattern key to copy. They can make a key to fit a lock if they can get access to the internals, but its a tine consuming, so expensive, exercise. It might be cheaper to purchase new lock barrels.

Yes I'll try and persue new lock barrels. The problem is gaining access to each locker to retrieve the old barrel.
(Note. Im not asking anybody for tips on how to defeat locks here as I think that crosses a line 😁)
Thanks for the reply 👍

You don’t say the age of the van, but older vans, for some time, all seemed to have 1 of 10 keys fitted. To add to the lack of security, they had their number stamped both on the key and on the exposed face of the barrel. Caravan shops had stocks, you just asked for your number.

Caravan salesmen would carry the set around with them to enter all their vans.

Any chance they keycode is recorded in the manual - in which case keys can be purchased from caravan dealers or on-line sites. I presume from your description that the locks throughout the van no longer share the same key - but you may be able to access the rear of one of the locks from inside of a bed locker - if there is a match with the main door lock then that can be easily removed from within the van to access the barrel.

Simpler and probably cheaper to go a dealership that was selling your brand of caravan and buy the keys over the counter, but you will still need the code. However if you take the caravan along, they can then test to see which key will fit.

When we bought ours the dealer had written the code in the document folder they had the papers in. I would check this but it may depend on where you bought it.
