I have been posting replys to topics and they apper as you log them,but dissappear as you try and check them?

Are you clicking the 'submit' button, below the text box, when you've finished typing? If so, then they should appear - but I'm afraid there's no way of editing them after you've typed them so check carefully before clicking on Submit!
 
For any reply longer than a few sentences it is best to use 'Word' to make up your answer and then copy into the message box. This allows you to not lose any hard work you may have done, and allows you to read and edit first.
