Can you refil the propane gas bottles for your caravan with LPG from an autogas station. If so will it work?

As long as they are the refillable type so yes you can but not if they are loose.
Forecourt will not allow it,i even tried a lpg pump on an industrial park but stll no.
The only way i could do it is install them in the front locker and take the van to fill them up so sold my refillable cylinder.

I echo Mickeys advice on this one.
There are legal reasons why this is so, but also as most propane bottles are filled by weight rather than volume, unless the bottle has a sight glass or float gauge (which the refillable ones do have), you will not know how full the bottle is.
