I must concur with Lord B. having spent an enjoyable extended weekend at Lucksall Caravan site. There is, in my opinion, nothing to say which would be detrimental to the site.

The amenities are spotless, the pitches are huge and well kept, the staff are very helpfull, charges are very reasonable, etc. All in all a first class quiet site with the River Wye a few feet away from the van. Just can't be faulted.

Pleased you liked it Colyn ap Brydgynd :O)

You had the weather to match the site. The annoying point for me is it's literally on my doorstep (well 3 miles) so is silly taking my caravan there.

It is a lovely site in a good location - but you are right, there are extra charges for everything, from showers (20p for 3 mins - hopeless if you have long hair), awnings, and dogs. If you ring or email they will send you a brochure and price list, so you can make up your mind then. I don't think its as nice as any of the Caravan Club sites we have been to though - this is a much more commercial site. Pitches are large and spacious, but be aware that if you have a riverside one, and its on/next to a fishing bit (sorry, there's probably a proper name for the bit where you fish from), everyone has the right to fish from it, so you will have people walking and fishing right on your pitch or very close to you.
