PRESS RELEASE 28 November 2007

For Immediate Distribution

LUNAR RETURNS TO BRITISH OWNERSHIP

Lunar Caravans Limited the Preston based manufacturer of touring caravans and

motor homes have today announced the conclusion of negotiations and the

completion of a management buy out bringing the company back into UK

ownership.

Lunar's Dutch based owners, Tirus, filed for bankruptcy for six of its companies in

early November but impressively it's successful British subsidiary has continued to

trade as normal.

Lunar's Managing Director, Brian Mellor, has been working on the management

buy out for several month's and was always confident of it's success, although the

collapse of Tirus has made final negotiations to buy the company more

complicated.

Mr Mellor said "We would like to reassure all of our Employees, Customers,

Retailers, and Suppliers that it is 'business as usual'. Lunar Caravans Limited is a

profitable business, we have a full order book and we have no debts. We have an

exceptional team, excellent workforce, strong distribution network with loyal

customers and a superb product in both the caravan and motorhome markets. It

gives us enormous satisfaction to conclude these negotiations. We now look

forward to the fantastic challenge and opportunity ahead of us. We also feel

immensely proud to again be part of the truly British caravan industry"

The other director's within the buy out team include Andrew Mead (Finance

Director), Martin Henderson (Sales and Marketing Director) and Ken Lawrence

(Purchasing Director).

Caravans within the Lunar stable include Zenith, Ariva, Stellar, Quasar, Lexon and

the luxury Clubman and Delta ranges.

Motorhomes include the Xstar, Telstar Fivestar, Moonstar, Goldstar and the luxury

Roadstar range.

The company also imports touring caravans and motor homes from its sister

companies and will shortly be making announcements with respects to its plans for

these brands for the future.

Having bought a 2nd hand Lunar Clubman a few months ago I am very glad they are still in business. As long as I can still get spares if needed in the future I'm a happy caravaner.

Being on Lunar number 4 we are very pleased that the company has returned to British ownership. Maybe now we will see the Clubman and Delta ranges becoming flagship vans once more.

Hi Del

Very pleased to see that you obviously have faith in the brand. Lunar had a doubtful reputation but I can only say that we have no complaints whatsoever with regard to build quality, etc. etc. Let's hope all works out well for them.

The caravan industry is one of the few manufacturing industries which hasn't been entirely lost to the UK. It's great news that Lunar has split from its troubled dutch parent company and is returning to UK ownership. Bailey and Swift Group have both demonstrated that UK manufacture can be profitable and result in great product. i hope Lunar follows their example. well done to them and the best of luck

I am with you on that one Robert.

The new Clubman looks pretty impressive and the price appears similar to the one I paid 6 years ago !
