We are looking at changing our van and trying to decide between a Bailey Senator Louisiana or a Lunar Delta TI, if anyone has either of these please can give me any good or bad points please.
I've had many caravans over the years and at the risk of upsetting a few people on this site I have to say GO FOR BAILEY everytime.
We have Senator Wyoming. Like all new caravans three weeks of rigorous use revealed a few minor snags all of which were fixed in less than one day by our excellent Bailey dealer.
Go for the Louisiana but do make sure you choose a very good dealer.
Super 'van and unbeatable at the price. Witness on some other forums the complaints from new Swift Group/Explorer Group/Lunar owners who paid a lot more than the price of a new LouLou.....
You can sit back and smile and have a bloody good holiday on the amount you saved!
Oh and Fab..........Gods own County is Devon, as if you didn't know.....
I agree with my OLD pal Martin. Still the Bailey out of the new list. If you were thinking about a Superstorm do not go for my very local Elddis dealer. Oh i'm in the Broch!! Hint hint!
In case it helps the decision process, We have a full five page live-in test of the Delta TL in the June issue of the magazine. It goes on sale on the 30th April.
I have had both the Bailey Louisanna and the Lunar 640(transverse bed) and without a doubt the Bailey, more solid and better finished.
My only criticism with my Louisiana is the washroom is a bit cramped but as I always use on site fascilities it does not affect me although the other half uses the van and she says the shower is great.she does agree with me that with the door shut use of the sink is tight with your backside wedged against the door, apart from that which I will put up for the prefection of the rest of it.
