We have a Lunar Lexon twin-axle (SBL, 2007 model). The technical handbook states that tyre pressure should be 51psi, but for similar models with a different layout 36psi. The tyres are R175/60 R14. Please can anyone advise which is correct?

Thanks Bob

I have a Lunar Lexon EW (Ultima) 2006 The MTPLM is 1600Kg.

The tyre size is the same as yours and mine are 36 psi

The pressure of 51psi appears to be that of a single axle model.

Hi Jim

Many thanks for your help - it must be a mis-print in the brochure.

Hello Bob,

I understand your concerns, and I agree that 51psi seems high for T/A, but generally speaking the manufactures will have checked their documentation for errors, but as we know they can get through sometimes.

If you have the incorrect tyre pressures, you vehicle is technically not roadworthy. As this has both safety and legal implications, I would have thought that the obvious place to enquire about the tyre pressures would be the caravan dealer or the manufacture.

It is unwise to rely on a third party forum for such details as they can easily be incorrect. although some caravans may appear to be similar, there could be some difference that affects the required tyre pressures
