Lunar Telstar electric folding step

The electric folding step has given up the ghost. It tries to deploy but only goes out a little way. Cannot now get it to fold away underneath. Battery is good and fully charged so I'm at a loss what to do. Anyone out there in cyberspace have any ideas?
 
Can’t actually help but maybe a really good clean around the hinged parts and then lubrication might help? Does it have a motor? Again cleaning and lubrications might be all it needs.
Is there a fuse?
