Many members will be using the M54 to get to north and mid Wales. Those coming up the M6 will have come miles without a service area and the first you see are Telford services. Caravan slots are narrow and short and often obstructed by cars. Fuel prices are usual motorway. For cheaper fuel go to Junction 6 and turn north SP Whitchurch and A and E. Within 100 yards is Tesco. The petrol station is easily accessible by the biggest units but use the left hand pumps. For food and loo pass Shrewsbury and after the Welshpool turn try Monford bridge cafe. It is about a mile from the Welshpool turn. Very accessible and the food is excellent and proper prices. The loos are public and not too good but OK. This is a good place for dog walk as well. If you are in a solo car then Telford services are good with lovely staff.

ETTO, but why would you want to use not so great public loos when you have a caravan on the back - the same with food?

We are the same as Wendy.
For example when going up the M6 north we always stop at Charnock Richard services. It has caravan bays with an excellent dedicated dog walk with dump bins. We will be doing it again in a weeks time and use the caravan for piddles after eating our home made sandwiches. Take wipes to clean your hands.
