M6 Service Station Stops - advice please!

We're off to Troutbeck Head in the Lakes in a few weeks and will need to stop of the M6 a couple of times. The first stop will have to be Keele - can anyone advise if this is OK for caravans re parking?

We are also going to need a second stop a bit further up probably north of Preston - again which would be the best service station for caravans? We're more interested in parking & access rather than food/facilities as we take our own.

Forton Services North bound on M6 (bewteen preston & Lanacaster) has a good caravan parking up plot, close to Motel. OK to overnight here as well, at a cost, but quiet and as far as I am aware safe. Approx 1.5 hours to Troutbeck
