3 degrees and 140 kilometre an hour winds in Argeles sur Mer in the South of France! Snow a few miles away at Ceret - home of the first outdoor cherries of the year, but not this year methinks! And we think we've got it bad!
Warmer this morning in Argeles - 7 degrees, just slightly colder than outside in my garden (9 degrees)! No wind here, but still 65 kph there.
18 degrees seems to be the warmest you'll get there, today, and minus 3 degrees a few miles into the Pyrenees from Argeles. I'm glad we're not in France.
Five years ago we took my son to France at this time of year, when he was working there, and it was 38 degrees in the Ardeche, and 32 degrees in Argeles.
What is "WEATHER" then and where can I get some?It is advertised all the time on the tv but it never seems to include our little bit of the planet. We live in a village in South Lincs.
You need mountains to encounter 'weather', but as you know South Lincs is flat. You don't know what you are missing. It's still dry and cold in Northampton. I am now beginning to feel isolated as no one but me is posting about the weather. Maybe it's time to close Machighlander's weather station.
It's really cold here, with a north wind, and the garden thermometer hasn't got above 7 degrees all day. The sky is grey, with fast-moving cloud, and some heavy showers during the day. More like November than May, in fact!
Two degrees here this morning on the edge of North Yorkshire- it feels really cold, with a stiff breeze - BUT the sun has just come out for the first time for about ten days, and it's not raining!
The mountain rescue team in your area is definately a waste of tax payer's money. I would put in a strong complaint to the local council. By the way it's very dry and cold in Northampton. I'm gonna hafta water again. Still going to sunny France soon.
