mains connection indicator (lack of)

In my new caravan there is no indication of mains power connection, (unless I lift a seat cushion to view the battery charger neon). All lighting is 12volt. The water heater lights but if we leave the bed made up we cannot see it.

In my previous caravan there was a green light on the fridge, I could tell instantly that we were connected.

This is the question ......

Any suggestions for fitting some method of indication of power supply? I have left the polarity tester on but this uses up a valuable socket.

Thanks

Tony

ours is the same,we turn the microwave on for a second or two to confirm the power is on.The fridge light is 12volt so cant use that. You would think an LED somewhere would be provided.Perhaps you could get a socket with a neon already fitted. If i could get a beige switch with a neon I would put it on the 240v hot water switch

Hi Tony I use a electrical socket tester,Just leave it plugged in to any socket when hook up is connected if all ok the three lights light up or shows the fault, If no lights are on theres no power they are about
