W WatsonJohnG Mar 14, 2005 4,638 0 0 Feb 12, 2005 #2 The switch in the caravan you describe is for 12V distribution.If you are on mains electric it makes no difference to the 12V other than boosting the supply/charge so it depends on whether you want the power on from the van battery or not really.
