I've got a water leak somewhere on the roof of my van. I've been trying to pinpoint it for the best part of a year now with no luck. I've decided the best thing I can do it clean all the top joints and silcone them all. Not being a fan of heights, I'm doing my best with a stepladder, but there is a bit about 12" wide in the middle I cannot reach. I do not want lay on the roof and put weight on it. Any ideas on how I can reach the middle? I told you it was a silly question.
Secondly, once I have done this, I need to do some repairs to the roof inside. Can anyone tell me, are there any crossmembers or similar in the roof to give support which may have rotted? If so, can these be repaired sucessfully? Is removing the lockers easy to enable sections of the roof to be replaced? Any advice appreciated. I want to know if this is a project I can work on myself or not!!
Thanks in advance
Simon
