Oops - put my reply in Martin E instead of replying to you Dougie. Just shows how often I post. It's a mobile caravan engineer qualification. I did a search on google "mobile caravan engineer MCEA and it came up with all the details.

Firstly the MCEA is NOT a qualification.

It is an Association of mobile caravan engineers.

The Association does offer a Foundation course in servicing, but with emphasis on ongoing training with the various equipment manufacturers and CITO and C&G.

It has never claimed to make anyone into an experienced engineer in a week, despite some people assuming that is what is meant.

The MCEA offers a very good nationwide network of engineers who can look after and maintain caravans and motorhomes at a customers home address, site or storage, saving the need in many cases of long trips to dealers.

It is not a new thing, the Association has been around for about 5 years and many of the engineers are NCC Approved Workshops.

Just because you have not heard of them, dont knock them on limited knowledge of them.

If you want to find out more , go to their stand at the NEC next week and ask them in person

if a person who does the week then goes on to do all the rest and become AWS, fair do`s. But how many do? and of those that dont? Are there any members on this board?

It just sounds like another "be a electrician/plumber/locksmith/tiler" ads you see in the redtops.
