Sue, I havn't been in the last few years but used to every year with my local DA of the C&CC. it is actually at Wigbeth which is just up the road from Horton. It is a pleasant non commercialised site which is well managed by the resident farmer who's main occupation was turfing. He used to let the kids use his pool in the grounds of his bungalow. I think the facilities are fairly basic but I know that improvements have taken place over the last few years. There is not a scrap yard adjacent perhaps you are seeing the machinery he uses for turfing - you never know though with farmers. I do not fish but other guys used to say it was OK.
