does anyone know whats happened at merley court, weve booked for whitsun but when we rang to pay the balance were told its been sold to shorefield holidays,hope this wont affect the quality of the site i know its affected the prices cos ive just been on their website

Hi. I live very near Merley and went into the Caravan shop they have behind the site a couple of weeks ago. The lady told me it was in the process of being sold to Shorefield. The site owners are keeping the conference centre and the gardens, just selling the site. She told me that no changes were planned for the site, but who knows!!!!

well its definitely affected their prices as when we booked for whitsun it was 20 anight and a pound for the dog and now on their website its 30 pounds a night and 3 pound a night for the dog

Hi. those prices sound awful. it will be a shame if anything is done to harm this lovely top quality site, I think the company who have taken it over are in to Statics in a big way.

we love dorset and tried all last year to get to merley court as it looked such a nice place so whilst on holiday at wareham forest we went in and booked up for this year however looking at their latest prices itll probably be the one and only visit! whats wilks farm like andrew as it looks quite nice on their website?

In my opinion Wilksworth farm ia a nice site, but not as good as Merley. The pitches the last time i visited had very little segregation and were a bit on top of each other. That said the facilities are very good, it is only about 2 miles from Merley.

Another good site with a pool etc is Wood farm Caravan Club at Charmouth, it has a pool etc. a bit of road noise if you are unlucky with your pitch but otherwise very nice. going back to the Merley site at the end of the day people will vote with there feet if it gets too expensive and they will only have themselves to blame
