Hi
I have, and have had for time, some mildew like marks on my battery locker door lip. I've reduced them to a pale image of it's self over time.
Any advise to remove completely, got plenty of time at the moment. I have some 1200 grit wet and dry think I'll attack it with that, unless someone has a better idea.20200430_124702.jpg

Thanks Camel. The marks appear to be on the external plastic. Used mildew as a description. Reduced its effect using a rubbing compound. Looking for something to do.

I did have a similar mildew on the side of my caravan that catches the weather all along the bottom rail of my caravan and I gave it a couple of goes with a rubbing solution I use for any marks I have on the caravan and it did the job to a certain degree if we get some more decent weather I, 'll have another go at it,

I find Silky quite useful in cleaning up the hard plastic surrounds on lockers etc. Although very smooth I’d be very gentle if using it on paintwork as on vans the paint is thin.

I have been using some 360 grit wet and dry, it's working slowly, desperate not to catch the van. It's looks as though when it was first built and they wiped off the sealant, they left a thin film on the lip and the marking is under that.

Even using the wet and dry, I couldn't remove all the marks, almost, but I could still see them. I had some Fiat 249 paint so I gave it a couple of coats. Time will tell.

Silky is wonderful stuff. We had a problem in the home kitchen with the cooker hood cover. Over years it looked different to the other doors and no amount of kitchen cleaners would do anything. Tries Silky and it's like new. In the boss's good books!!! Well for about half a day!
