Milenco alloy leveller

Has anyone used this type of caravan leveller? are these easy to use and what weight is recommended for them? my vans weight is 1366kg MTPLM. I will be on my own so anything like this would be useful.
 
I have one and prefer it to ramps which the van tended to slide down as I couldn't get wedges to stay in. However, I now use a metal plate on the ground first so it is easier to slide the leveller under the tyre. The leveller give infinite adjustment which you can't always get from other methods. The plate is from the back of an old washing machine.
